About Me

Jen Kornswiet is an award-winning choreographer and dance teacher from Orange County, California. She made her Off-Broadway debut choreographing Waiting In The Wings: The Musical at The Theatre at St. Clement's in New York City in Spring 2023, and won the 2023 BroadwayWorld Off-Broadway Award for Best Original Choreography for her work. Jen has choreographed multiple musical theatre productions including

Cabaret, Newsies, Wonderland, Anastasia, Legally Blonde, The Addams Family, Elf, Mary Poppins, and

A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. She also choreographed the world premiere stage adaptation of

Waiting In The Wings: The Musical at The Rose Center Theater.

Jen holds dual Bachelor of Arts Degrees from The Ohio State University in Film Studies and Strategic Communications, and was one of the emerging choreographers selected to be part of the

2019 Broadway Choreography Intensive through Dance Lab New York.

Reviews

The choreography by Jennifer Kornswiet is impressive, and the musical numbers are well staged. Several scenes included tap dancing, with a couple stand out numbers including the use of empty cups at a sperm bank to create rhythm, and a musical number on musical numbers complete with Cat and Phantom costumes.
